A few days a go my good friend Becca brought to my attention French fashion label Carven, in particular their AW10 collection. After looking at the look-book a few times and then discovering their ad campaign I was completely in love with it.

Currently in the hands of former Givenchy designer Guillaume Henry Carven is a mix of  modern everyday clothes with a slight twist. Something to make them a bit more exciting and elegant. It should also be noted also that Henry worked under Riccardo Tisci and Julien MacDonald during his time at Givenchy so he knows what he is doing.

Carvens AW10 collection though is a bit amazing. It checks all the right boxes in terms of this years AW trends (there is a lot of camel, it’s very minimal) and avoids the pitfall of being one massive chunk of trend. It still manages to retain some individuality which I really like. The pieces are all more than wearable and as a collection it just looks elegant and classy. Not to mention I’m in love with the ad campaign too…

You can view the whole collection at the Carven website.
