I’m usually not that big of a Stella McCartney fan. While I admire her work from a design perspective, personally I am not always sold on it. However I was really blown away and loved her resort 2011 collection. I think McCartney captured the feel of a resort collection perfectly, the gorgeous botanic prints, lace detailing, short hemlines and razor sharp tailoring on suits and jackets are perfect for summer. The whole collection was fresh, clean and simple. Even the layered floral looks worked well and looked cohesive. Definitely simple and stylish fashion at it’s very best.
